(Click to see larger image) Narishige's SR-50 stereotaxic workstation provides for a tilting facility to enable approach from the sides. This stereotaxic instrument is developed for small animals, especially rats. The tilting facility makes it possible to approach from the sides for inspections of the auditory cortex, entorhinal cortex, ventral hippocampus and amygdala. A rigid adjustable stand is used to enable tilting, and a fixing plate is mounted so that the animal does not fall.
