(Click to see larger image) Narishige's HI-7 needle holder solves the problem of mounting pipettes when cores are lacking for the respective holes. HI-7 incorporates a stainless steel collar with a holder cap. Also an HIR rotation mechanism is included for operational convenience.

An economical and more flexible alternative to HI-7 is presented by Tritech Research's MINJ-4 especially, when being used with Narishige's microinjection micromanipulator MN-151.
