Vasopressin is a peptide that acts on vasopressin receptors, modulating intestinal motility, inducing vasoconstriction in arteries, and inducing contraction of various muscles. Vasopressin also exhibits antidiuretic activity, occasionally resulting in hyponatremia in vivo and in clinical settings.
