Description

Mouse Endocan is a proteoglycan composed of a 20 kDa mature polypeptide and a 30 kDa?chondroitin / dermatan sulfate chain.

However, glycosylation is present only on a fraction of mouse endocan. It also comprises a large?proportion of non-glycosylated endocan corresponding to the mature protein core of the molecule.

Chromatography by ion exchange on DEAE-Sepharose allows to separate the glycosylated (retained?on the column) and the non-glycosylated fractions (not bound).
