This purified COX-2 isoform from ovine placenta is not enzymatically active. However, it is very useful as a standard for Western blotting or other immunochemical procedures. Simply mix with sample buffer, boil, and run on SDS gel. For best results, use 1μg per lane when developing with alkaline phosphatase. Contents: 10 μg of protein in 100 μl. Protein Concentration: 0.1 mg/ml. Purity: Greater than 70% by electrophoresis. Packaging: The enzyme is suspended in 100 mM Tris buffer (pH 8.0) containing 0.01% Tween 20 and 30 μM DDC. Storage: Stable for several months at -20°C, and indefinitely at -70°C.
