Another of the applications of the CD71 antibody, is the recount of retyculocites2, immature red corpuscles, without nucleus, that contain ribonucleic acid (RNA). In peripheral blood, they delay approximately a day in losing their RNA and to be become erythrocytes. Its recount provides information on the production of erythrocytes.
