Designed for high school and elementary college courses, these rock and mineral specimens provide a complete range of materials for comparisons of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. In addition, students can study rock-forming ores of metals and non-metals, differences in the hardness scale and physical properties including streak, luster, cleavage, fracture, specific gravity and magnetism. The collection is housed in two 36-compartment collection boxes, one each for rocks and minerals. All specimens are numbered.
