Each of the five drawers is fitted with a slotted white plastic liner that secures 260 slides per drawer (1,300 in all) and can hold either microscope or petrographic slides. Brass knobs and a card holder finish each drawer. The case and drawers are constructed of nonwarping chipboard with smooth wheat colored laminate.
