Single-stage oil diffusion pump useful with manifolds such as (80060-120) through (80060-128).

  • Will provide vacuum of 10-5 torr, at a pumping rate of approximately 8 l/sec.
  • Boiler has a round bottom for use with (80060-622) 100 ml heating mantle
  • Use of the mantle eliminates costly repairs of boiler due to breakage
  • All valves are 0 to 12 mm Chem-Vac?, Chem-Cap?
  • Tubular connections are 1" O.D. for use with 1" Cajon? connectors, or 1" I.D. heavy wall vacuum tubing

Bypass isolates the oil diffusion pump from the mechanical pump while it rough pumps the system. This prevents the hot pumping fluid from being degraded by chemical oxidative process.

In the bypass mode, valves A and B are closed, isolating the diffusion pump from the system while valve C is open. Once the system has reached 1×10-5 Torr, valve C is closed and A and B are opened, restoring the diffusion pump to the pumping circuit. Pump oil listed is Dow Corning #704.

Ordering information: Heating mantle must be ordered separately. Pumps are available in both right- and left-handed configurations.
