The collection bottle safely retains fluid while the attached trap protects the vacuum source from accidental fluid backflow. The flexible collection tubing accepts Pasteur pipets, regular pipets, or pipettor tips approximately 0.70 mm in diameter for work with Petri dishes, microtiter plates, flasks, and centrifuge tubes. The small footprint of the wire cage supports the collection bottle and the secondary vacuum trap without overcrowding the work space.
