This protein is negative regulator of the hedgehog signaling pathway. Defects in this gene are a cause of medulloblastoma. SuFu has been shown to interact with GLI1, GLI3 and PEX26. Recombinant human SuFu protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
