This protein is found within lipid-enriched microdomains on the cytosolic side of the endomembrane system. GLIPR2 is tightly anchored to membranes and absent from the cytosol, although it does not possess a membrane-spanning domain. Recombinant human GLIPR2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
