Description
Anti-BG-4. BG-4 is also known as blood group antigen H (type 1).? The H antigen is a precursor to A and B antigens in the ABO system.? The H antigen is a carbohydrate sequence consisting of a chain of β-D-galactose, β-D-N-acetylglucosamine, β-D-galactose, and 2-linked, α-L-fucose, which is linked to protein or ceramide. The H gene locus encodes the fucosyltransferase 1 protein, which is responsible for linking the carbohydrate antigen to the protein.? The H antigen is expressed on erythrocytes and epithelial cells.
Immunogen
This antibody was developed against the SW-403 colon cancer cell line. It is specific for Blood group H (type 1).
