Description
Purified anti-BG-3. Blood group antigens are formed by the sequential addition of saccharides to the carbohydrate side chains of lipids and proteins. These antigens can then be found on erythrocytes and certain epithelial cells. The A, B and H antigens reportedly undergo modifications during malignant cellular transformations. There are a total of sixteen genetically distinct blood group antigens including A, B (also known as blood group 3), H, Lewis A, Lewis B, Lewis X, Lewis Y, and precursor type 1 chain antigens.
Immunogen
This antibody was developed against the ASPC-1 pancreatic cancer cell line. It is specific for the blood group B (type 2 chain).
