Description
Purified anti-NOD1. NOD1 belongs to the specialized family of NOD-like receptors (NLRs) that participate in the recognition of fragments of the bacterial cell wall component called peptidoglycan (PG). It mediates the assembly of complexes that activate MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways and leads to stimulation of the genes responsible for the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and interferons. Genetic variants of NOD1 are associated with inflammation, autoimmune disorder and cancer.
