Description
Purified anti-IL-25 (IL-17E). IL-25, also known as IL-17E, is a newly identified proinflammatory cytokine that plays important roles in Th2 immune responses. IL-25 can induce Th2 cytokines, which include IL-4, IL-5, IL-9, and IL-13, in multiple tissues. It can also inhibit pro-inflammatory Th1 and Th17 cytokine responses. It has been well established that IL-25 plays an important role in allergy and asthma. IL-25 is also required for protection against gastrointestinal helminth infections. IL-25 may have neuroprotective functions.
