    DescriptionAn inhibitor of diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT). Shows inhibitory effect in rat liver microsomes (IC50 = 17.5 μM) and Raji cells (IC50 = 2.8μM). Excessive accumulation of triacetylglycerol produced by DGAT may cause fatty liver, obesity and hypertriglyceridemia, which may lead to atherosclerosis, diabetes and metabolic disorders. MW: 496.48.
