It is an important regulator of immune cell function which occurs as both surface-associated and soluble forms. It is associated with increased risk for multiple sclerosis. Recombinant human CD58, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
