And it enhances ribosome dissociation into subunits and stabilizes the binding of the initiator Met-tRNA (I) to 40 S ribosomal subunits. Recombinant human EIF1AX protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
