ANGPTL7, also known as angiopoietin-related protein 7, is member of the angiopoietin-like family of molecules. It is expressed in the corneal stroma, trabecular meshwork, and sclera. Its production is up-regulated in trabecular meshwork cells by glucocorticoids and TGF-Beta and in cartilage by TNF-alpha. Recombinant mouse ANGPTL7, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
