Description
GPR35 Polyclonal Antibody. GPR35 initially identified as an orphan G-protein coupled receptor, was recently deorphanized using high-throughput intracellular calcium measurements in clonal cell lines expressing a chimeric G-protein alpha-subunit. Recent studies confirm kynurenic acid, a tryptophan metabolite, as a ligand for GPR35. The protein shares homology with purinergic P2Y receptors, lysophosphatidic acid receptor GPR23, nicotinic acid receptor HM74, and the cannabinoid receptor GPR55. Expression analysis revealed prominent expression of the protein in immune and gastrointestinal tissues, suggesting potential physiological roles for GPR35 in these organs.
