Description
Rat Anti-Lbp Recombinant Antibody (CBYJL-2507). Provided herein is a Rat monoclonal antibody, which binds to Lipopolysaccharide Binding Protein (Lbp). The antibody can be used for immunoassay techniques, such as ELISA, Neut. Lipopolysaccharide binding protein plays a role in the innate immune response. It binds to the lipid A moiety of bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS), a glycolipid present in the outer membrane of all Gram-negative bacteria. It acts as an affinity enhancer for CD14, facilitating its association with LPS (By similarity). Lipopolysaccharide binding protein also promotes the release of cytokines in response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide.

This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a rat immunized with recombinant mouse LBP.
