Description
Chromatographically purified. Control Peptide for O7502 (antiserum) and O7502-05 (affinity purified) Synthetic peptide, 13aa, murine Orexin A Pre-pro immunogenic peptide shows 82% (14/17 aa) and 70% (12/17 aa) identity with rat and human prepro-orexins, respectively. The sequence is not found in Orexin A or Orexin B. Therefore, antibodies will not detect mature Orexin A or Orexin B. Use the appropriate control immunogenic peptides to confirm specificity of antibodies. Hypothalamic neuropeptides associated with feeding behavior, binding and activating two closely related Orexin receptors - G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) OX1R and OX2R. Recognizes the full-length (1-33 aa) Orexin-A. The epitope is not found in Orexin B. Since Orexin A and Orexin B are derived from an unprocessed prepro-orexin (130 aa), anti-Orexin A antibodies may also react with pre-pro orexins.
