Rabbit IgG polyclonal Picoband? antibody for Bifunctional epoxide hydrolase 2(EPHX2) detection. Tested with WB, FCM in Human;Mouse;Rat. No cross reactivity with other proteins. Soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) is a bifunctional enzyme that in humans is encoded by the EPHX2 gene. It is mapped to 8p21.2-p21.1. This gene encodes a member of the epoxide hydrolase family. The protein, found in both the cytosol and peroxisomes, binds to specific epoxides and converts them to the corresponding dihydrodiols. Mutations in this gene have been associated with familial hypercholesterolemia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
Immunogen
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human EPHX2 (505-543aa QHMEDWIPHLKRGHIEDCGHWTQMDKPTEVNQILIKWLD), different from the related mouse sequence by seven amino acids, and from the related rat sequence by eight amino acids.
