Description
Purified anti-TCF8 (ZEB1). TCF-8, also named ZEB1, belongs to the ZEB family of transcription factors characterized by the presence of 2 zinc finger clusters and are responsible for the binding to specific DNA sequences named E-boxes. By recruiting co-suppressors or co-activators through CID, SID or CBD, TCF-8 can either downregulate or upregulate the expression of its target genes.TCF-8 promotes tumor invasion and metastasis by inducing epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in carcinoma cells. It is associated with aggressive behaviour, metastasis, treatment resistance and poor prognosis in different tumour types, including breast, pancreatic, prostate and lung cancer.
