An inhibitor of V. cholerae ToxT; it inhibits ToxT dimerization and decreases CT and TCP expression (50 μM); protects infant mice (5 to 6 days old) from intestinal colonization by ToxT-dependent V. cholerae; inhibits biofilm formation by A. baumannii by 38% under static conditions (100 μM); decreases the motility of 60% of 30 mobile A. baumannii strains; binds to V. cholerae Ace (Ka = 9 x 104 M-1; Kd = 11 μM)
