Description
DIABLO Monoclonal Antibody (8H5AB2). Inhibitors of apoptosis proteins (IAP's) block cell death by caspase inhibition. X linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP) is a member of the IAP family. Smac/Diablo is expressed in a variety of tissues and has been identified as a negative regulator of XIAP. Smac/Diablo is a mitochondrial protein that enters the cytosol when cells undergo apoptosis, and moderates the caspase inhibition of IAPs.
