DDX4 Polyclonal Antibody. DDX4 belongs to the DEAD box helicase family or DDX4/VASA subfamily. DEAD box proteins are characterized by the conserved Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD) motif and are putative RNA helicases. This protein has a glycine-rich N terminus with multiple repeats of an RGG motif, which is believed to function in RNA binding. They have a role in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly.
