Description
Emerin Monoclonal Antibody (5A10). Emerin is a serine rich protein ubiquitously expressed with highest concentration in skeletal and cardiac muscles. It is localized in the nuclear membrane and is coded by STA gene at Xq28 locus. Emerin deficiency is tye main causal feature of Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy (EDMD), which is a X-linked disorder leading to weakening of muscles and cardiomyopathy presented as heart block.
