The increase of Prostate ACP (PACP) commonly occurs in prostate cancer, prostatic infarction and prostate surgery. There are 4 forms of ACP in the body, which derived from red blood cells, lysosomes, osteoclasts and prostate. ACP in lymphocytes and platelet is similar with the lysosome type. ACP in granulocyte and pancreas is similar with prostate type. ACP in Gaucher's cells, hairy leukemia cell and giant cell tumor is similar with the osteoclasts type.
