The biosynthesis of CoA from pantothenate requires several steps: the phosphorylation of pantothenate, the conversion of 4'-hosphopantothenate to 4'-phosphopantetheine, the adenylation by phosphopantetheine adenylyltransferase to form dephospho-CoA
