| Description | This purified monoclonal antibody is directed against Human Rubella Antigen and is purified by Ion exchange chromatography. Purity is confirmed by ELISA >95% pure. Rubella, also known as German Measles or three day measles, is virus spread through the air or by close contact that causes a mild infection in which there is a rash on the skin. Congenital rubella is when a pregnant woman with rubella passes it to the baby in utero, and may lead to birth defects or miscarriage. The is no treatment for rubella, but after infection people have immunity for the remainder of their lives. Vaccines are available for children, women before pregnancy, and boosters for older adults.
