Description
This purified monoclonal antibody is directed against Human IgG4 and is purified by Protein A chromatography and conjugated to horseradish peroxidase. Cross reactivity with other animal sera has not been tested. Lot variation tested and limited to not more than one serial dilution apart from previous batch by ELISA. Human IgG purified protein (Immunoglobulin G) are antibody molecules. Human IgG is composed of four peptide chains - two heavy chains gamma and two light chains held together by disulfide bonds. The resulting Y structure has two identical halves which at the end of each end contains an identical antigen binding site. The Fc regions of IgGs bear a highly conserved N-glycosylation site. IgG affinity to the Fc receptors is specific to the host as well as class. Humans have 4 subclasses (IgG1, 2, 3, 4) present in serum, with IgG1 being most abundant and has the highest affinity to the Fc receptor. IgG4 is the least abundant subclass with the intermediate affinity for Fc binding. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition.
