Description
Purified anti-KCNA5. KCNA5 is a potassium voltage-gated ion channel with 6 transmembrane spanning domains, also known as Kv1.5, belonging to the shaker-related subfamily of potassium channels. It forms tetrameric potassium selective channels that open or close based on the voltage difference across the membrane. Potassium channels contribute to a diverse set of functions depending on the cell type and localization, some of which include: regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, smooth muscle contraction, neuronal excitability, and much more.
Immunogen
This monoclonal antibody was raised against a peptide sequence corresponding to amino acids 53-64 of the human KCNA5 protein conjugated to KLH.
