Description
Protein G agarose (similar to Sepharose) can trap a variety of immunoglobulins to a solid phase for immunoprecipitation of affinity chromatography. Protein G binds a wider variety of immunoglobulins than Protein A. This is a recombinant version of the Streptococcal protein that lacks the albumin binding domain. This product is highly crosslinked, which makes it more durable for applications such as HPLC. It can withstand pressures greater than 300 kPa, and flow rates exceeding 1000 cm/hour (on a 15 cm column). Larger quantities are available at substantial savings.
