DescriptionPurity: > 90% by SDS - PAGE Format: Liquid. In Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) containing 10% glycerol. TSLP, also known as thymic stromal lymphopoietin, is a protein belonging to the cytokine family. This protein plays an important role in the maturation of T cell populations through activation of antigen presenting cells. It is an interleukin 7-like cytokine originally characterized by its ability to promote the activation of B cells and dendritic cells (DCs). It is expressed by non-hematopoietic cells such as fibroblasts, epithelial cells and different types of stromal or stromal-like cells, and is important in allergic inflammation. It signals through a heterodimeric receptor complex composed of the thymic stromal lymphopoietin receptor CRLF2 and the IL-7R alpha chain. After binding STAT5 phosphorylation is induced resulting in the expression of upstream transcription factors. Also, expression of TSLP is linked to many disease states including asthma, inflammatory arthritis, atopic dermatitis, eczema, eosinophilic esophagitis and other allergic states. But the factors are not clearly defined. Recombinant Mouse TSLP, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
