An inhibitor of Wnt production. Blocks Wnt pathway activity in vitro ( IC50 = 40 nM). IWP-3 inactivates Porcupine (Porcn), a membrane-bound O-acyltransferase responsible for palmitoylating Wnt proteins, which is essential for their signaling ability and secretion.
