Provide the gene insert either as purified DNA or within a purified plasmid or contained in a slab culture and Rockland Immunochemicals will excise the insert and ligate it into an appropriate bacterial expression vector. The experimental design of the ligation may be facilitated using the latest software to design new recombinant DNA molecules or recreate gene segments using oligos with appropriate restriction sites and features that promote or enhance expression. Transformation of E.coli using the subcloned plasmid will be performed. Colonies will be screened using conventional methodologies. Slab cultures require plasmid isolation prior to subcloning.
