AA Gln 44 - Ser 676. Purity >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The protein has a calculated MW of 72.1 kDa. The protein migrates as 85-105 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation. Neuroligin 4, Y-linked (NLGN4Y) a type I membrane protein that belongs to the family of neuroligins, which are cell adhesion molecules present at the postsynaptic side of the synapse, and may be essential for the formation of functional synapses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for NLGN4Y gene. NLGN4Y was expressed in fetal and adult brain, prostate, testis, pancreas. NLGN4Y is homologous with its X-linked homolog, NLGN4X.
