Pomalidomide targets the E3 ligase protein cereblon, preventing cereblon autoubiquitination activity. It has been shown to exert antiproliferative, antiangiogenic, and immunomodulatory effects against myeloma cells, modulating cell adhesion, decreasing production of key pro-survival cytokines, including TNF-α.
