Y15 is a selective focal adhesion kinase (FAK) inhibitor preventing FAK autophosphorylation at IC50 of 1 μM. It does not have any significant activity against a range of other kinases like EGFR, PDGFR, and IG-RI. Y15 has shown to promote cell detachment inhibiting cell adhesion in in vitro experiments, shows antiproliferative activity in variety of tumor cell lines.
