Description
SRM is an enzyme which catalyzes the transfer of the propylamine group from S-adenosylmethioninamine to putrescine in the biosynthesis of spermidine. The polyamines putrescine, spermine and spermidine are ubiquitous polycationic mediators of cell growth and differentiation.
