The SARS-CoVnucleocapsid (N) protein is a 423 amino-acid, predictedphosphoprotein of 46 kDa that shares little homologywith other members of the coronavirus family. A shortserine-rich stretch, and a putative bipartite nuclearlocalization signal are unique to it, thus suggesting itsinvolvement in many important functions during the virallife cycle. MW: 32 kDa.
