NGAL is a biomarker of kidney tubular damage and a predictor of a condition termed acute kidney injury (AKI). Various renal disorders are associated with increased NGAL in both urine and plasma. The NGAL (human) ELISA Kit is a sandwich assay that can be used for the quantification of NGAL in human urine or plasma samples. The assay exhibits intra-assay %CV values of <14% with sensitivity sufficient to detect levels of NGAL as low as 1.4 pg/ml.
