Description
Function: Neuromedin B receptor binds neuromedin B, a potent mitogen and growth factor for normal and neoplastic lung and for gastrointestinal epithelial tissue. NMBR expression has been reported in brain, particularly theolfactory bulb and thalamus, and in colon, liver, placenta, testis, spinal cord, and gastrointestinal tract. In addition, it has been shown to be present in cancer of the lung.Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal cytoplasmic region of mouse Neuromedin-B receptor (NMBR) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
