Cord Blood-CD36 Early Erythroid Progenitor cells are derived from Cord Blood-CD34 cells in culture. Cord Blood-CD34 cells are cultured for seven to eight days using a serum free expansion media for hematopoietic cells, EPO (3U/ml), SCF (50ng/ml), IL-3 (10ng/ml), and IL-6 (10ng/ml) growth factors. The cells are harvested from culture, and the Cord Blood-CD36 cells are positively isolated using a direct immunomagnetic CD36 MicroBead labeling system.
