It is activated in vitroby 3-phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase-1 (PDK-1) and in vivoin response to signals that activate phosphatidylinositol (PI) 3-kinase. Recombinant human SGK1 protein was expressed with N-terminal His-tag in High-Five cells using baculovirus expression system and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
