Purity ≥98% by HPLC, MW: 625.6. Apoptozole is an inhibitor of the ATPase domain of Hsc70 and Hsp70, with Kds of 0.21 and 0.14 μM, respectively. Apoptozole dose-dependently induces apoptosis in cancer cells (IC50 = 5-7 μM). It prevents the association of Hsp70 with apoptotic protease-activating factor 1 and triggers caspase activation in HeLa cells.
