Description
Mouse Anti-PRG4 Recombinant Antibody (CBYJL-2322). Provided herein is a Mouse monoclonal antibody, which binds to Proteoglycan 4 (PRG4). The antibody can be used for immunoassay techniques, such as WB, IP, ELISA. PRG4 is a large proteoglycan that is synthesized by chondrocytes located at the surface of articular cartilage and by some synovial lining cells. PRG4 contains both chondroitin sulfate and keratan sulfate glycosaminoglycans. PRG4 functions as a boundary lubricant at the cartilage surface and contributes to the elastic absorption and energy dissipation of synovial fluid. Mutations in this gene result in camptodactyly-arthropathy-coxa vara-pericarditis syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
