Description
Rabbit Anti-Human SLCO1B3 polyclonal antibody for IHC, ICC. Solute carrier organic anion transporter family member 1B3, also known as, Liver-specific organic anion transporter 2 (LST-2) or Organic anion transporter 8 or Organic anion-transporting polypeptide 8 (OATP-8) or Solute carrier family 21 member 8, and encoded by the gene name(s), SLCO1B3 or LST2 or OATP1B3 or OATP8 or SLC21A8, is a transmembrane receptor that mediates the sodium-independent uptake of endogenous and xenobiotic compounds and plays a critical role in bile acid and bilirubin transport. SLCO1B3 is highly expressed in liver, in particular, at the basolateral membrane of hepatocytes near the central vein. It is also highly expressed in some cancer cell lines derived from colon, pancreas, liver and gall bladder. Mutations in SLCO1B3 have been associated with Hyperbilirubinemia, Rotor type.
